Walking Precincts: A Journey of Connection and Learning

As I've been walking through our precincts, I've realized that although it might be surprising to see a stranger at your door, the welcoming spirit of our community has made it a truly enjoyable experience. Each step has not only been a chance to see some amazing front porches, but also to deepen my connection with the community I'm so proud to serve.

Some encounters have been particularly memorable. Imagine my surprise when, upon knocking on a door, I discovered an old friend who had moved back to the area! We took the opportunity to catch up and reconnect.

On another walk, I had the pleasure of meeting Linda Bassford, pictured below, the talented artist behind the beautiful mural of Cannon Township displayed in our offices.

These walks have also been incredibly informative. I've fielded questions about local ordinances and community decisions. Each inquiry has sent me down a path of research, enabling me to either provide answers or connect residents with the right people. This has not only been satisfying but also a great learning opportunity.

I'm here to serve and represent our community to the best of my abilities. If you have questions, concerns, or just want to chat, feel free to reach out to me at my email, jes@swiftprinting.com, or on my cell at 616-915-5370. I promise to do my best to represent our community and its values.

Thank you to everyone who has opened their doors and their hearts during my walks. Your openness and engagement truly shows how much our community cares.
