Facilities Projects Completed in 2024

Cannon Township Infrastructure and Maintenance Updates

Our Facilities Committee has been busy improving and maintaining our community facilities and parks. Here’s a rundown of the projects they've tackled:

Museum Enhancements

  1. New AC & Furnace installed.

  2. Hot water heater replaced.

Township Center Upgrades 3. Security cameras installed. 4. Parking lot repaved. 5. Heat tape fixed on roof. 6. Downspout repair completed. 7. Switched from EPS Security to Total Fire Security, saving over $14,000 annually.

Fire Station and Museum Grounds 5. Parking lots at Station #1 and the Museum seal-coated.

Recreational Improvements 6. Live pickleball cameras now streaming on the website. 12. Trail maps updated on kiosks. 13. Bostwick Lake Park fence repaired. 14. Bostwick Lake Park parking lot paved. 15. Landscaping at Bostwick Lake Park completed. 15. Trail signs repainted and replaced where necessary. 19. New barrier installed at the top of Bostwick Lake Park. 22. Trail sides trimmed by KCRC. 23. New brush attachment purchased for the Kubota to clean trails.

Cemetery Enhancements 9. Storage room enclosure built at Cannonsburg Cemetery. 10. Cemetery decoration box upgraded and painted. 17. Eagle Scout project completed.

Environmental and Community Health 18. Two new dog waste stations installed. 21. Eliminated an AT&T phone line, saving $5,000 annually. 24. Broken AC unit at Township Center replaced. 25. Upgraded garbage can relocated to the Kreuter section of the trail.
